Dennis Schmidt, Owner/Broker founded Mallard Real Estate in 1989. Dennis moved to Wichita in 1968 after completing graduate school in Michigan and then taught college mathematics in Wichita for 10 years.  His real estate experience began in 1978 when a career change took him to the largest real estate firm in Wichita where he gained valuable experience for eight years.  In 1985 he had an opportunity to work with a real estate developer in Memphis.  In 1988 Dennis was asked to move back to Wichita to assist a local investor in making real estate acquisitions.  In 1990 Dennis went independent with Mallard Real Estate, and since then has been joined by four other agents who wanted to work with Dennis in a small commercial real estate environment.  The journey has been challenging at times, but it has always been rewarding and great fun.  Our philosophy is "making the deal with integrity."                                                       Dennis Schmidt, Broker
